A fan strip done in praise of the inimitable Zach Stroum of Shaw Island. Check here for the accompanying fan art, which sort of explains things, but not really. His writing is relevant and insightful, his characters have depth, and his hamsters will someday (hopefully) RULE THE WORLD. Or at least the island, and even then, that's more of a crab goal.
Shaw ranks up among my favorite strips, and rightly so. Funny thing about this piece, I did this in Hawaii, however long ago that was, and when I got back he had removed the characters from the strip. They'll come back, and in the meantime I love the hamsters, but it just shows how much my timing sucks. |
